Keep praying for Gaza

Bismillah

Salaaming

I apologise for the lack of updates. Due to the recent upgrade in marital status, I find myself spending most of my time holding my husband’s hand and refuse to let it go with my husband. I hope its just the newly wed bug.*blush*

On a serious note, Insya-Allah (SWT), I hope everyone is aware of what’s been happening in the Muslim world. As of this day (according to the facebook application i’ve recently acquired (apps.facebook.com/supportgaza/ 702 civilians murdered by Israel in Gaza/Palestine (230 children & 100 women) & 3100 injured.

702 maybe insignificant to you, but compared that number to the death toll of the Isreal army. Last update I had (before the recent one) was 460 Muslims syahid, as oppose to 4 deaths from the Isreals.

FOUR!!! compared to 460!!! Apa kejadahnya???

SMS and emails have been forwarded to pray for our brothers and sisters in Palestine, for our brothers and sisters all over the world to STAND UP and FIGHT FOR GAZA! FOR PALESTINE!!

You may think, what difference will our doa make? what difference will our solat hajat will make? What difference will  our quran recitation make??

Doa is the weapon of the BELIEVER, dear brother & sisters.

If YOU are a BELIVER, you would BELIVE that Allah (SWT) hears your doa and sends them to Palestine.

Still not convinced? Then read this article:

…We pray, but we don’t see an improvement. We demonstrate, but the governments ignore us. We send our money, but it never seems to be enough. Eventually, the prayers become a little less frequent. The candlelit street vigils become a thing of the past. Our fists become a little tighter. We may even go as far as to think: what’s the point?

I’m here to tell you, that there is a point; a real and tangible point. But one that you may not expect.

On Friday evening, I attended an event, at the end of which a representative of Islamic Relief was allowed to say a few words. He mentioned that he had just returned from Gaza, and spoke of the problems that the residents were facing – problems of which we are all well aware.

While delivering food parcels, he came across an old lady, who was looking after her five grandchildren, one of whom was disabled; their parents had both been killed in an air raid. She had not eaten for two days. When he asked her why, she responded: “The children, they must eat”. He knew that the food they had donated would not last very long, and in a moment of deep concern, he again questioned her: “How do you keep going?”.

She simply replied: “With the help of our Lord, everything is easy“.

Tell me, if this old lady who hadn’t eaten in two days can retain her faith in the help of Allah (SWT), why should we find it so difficult?…
