Dunia or Iman?

Something to think about
“Sesungguhnya Allah
Allah
gives dunia to anyone, may he ask for it or not, whether he likes it or not.
But Allah
only gives IMAN to those who asks for it, and those who prove their sincerity to Allah
in wanting it. These are the people who will fight for their right to practise their faith, even when others surrounding them mock or belittle them.
These are the people who will excel in the afterlife, insyaAllah.
Allah
mentioned in the quran:
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ وَمَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِن نَّصِيبٍ (42:20)
To him who desires a harvest in the life to come (akhira), We shall grant an increase in his harvest; whereas to him who desires [but] a harvest in this world, We [may] give something thereof – but he will have no share in [the blessings of] the life to come.
Allah
mentioned in this ayat, if one desires the world, fine, He will give it to him. But do not expect you will reap rewards in the hereafter. After all, that is what you wish and I am only granting what you want.
But if you wish for a peaceful life in the akhira, even tho you have to suffer in dunia, because you know that akhira is everlasting and dunia is just a transition, then you will receive what you have invested for akhira.
In the end, its up to you to decide what you want.
Senang di dunia atau sengasara di akhirat?
Atau sengsara di dunia tetapi bahagia di akhirat?

Salaam my love,
Wubs!
I have a story. Went to solat dzuhur at a mosque today and as usual, the baju kurung that I wear is the one I use to pray with…
THEN…
this little girl (being small and curious) who’s about 4 or 5 years old stood behind me and said, “Ma, napa ia nda pakai telkong?” – considering that the rest of the jemaah was all-white except me.
The mother said? “SHHH!”
I smiled.
(I wish an adult would ask me that question and I would be more than happy to explain WHY I’m ‘odd’)
Missing you sweetiebums!! I need sista- lurrrveeeeeee-ing session! Missing everyone loads!
To the post –
ameen ya Allah
.. let us go through this dunya with trials and tests to prove that we are worthy of Your Jannah…
Salaam Sweetiepie! Ya’noe! I was thinking the same thing, lama udah tani nda mengupii~~ lets make it tmrww~ I es missing youse girls lots
Complimenting your story, I remember one time Mike and I rush to solat maghrib arah this masjid, kali because takut luput waktu, i quickly solat sedia ada. (Cause kalau banyak jemaah, baik tah kali nda stand out. huhu.)
Kali this lady approached me after i was done and asked “Kamu orang Brunei? Kami orang Brunei solat pakai telkong, tu sana ada lagi banyak.”
I was like, smile, husnuzhon, smile, husnuzhon. Granted, it does look a bit weird (heck we were there once! Lol!) but the best thing we can do is smile and accept teguran atu dengan salaamatus-sadr (berlapang dada…and maybe bangun mengambil telkong.lol!)
Kalau nda dapat menyampai dgn lisan, tani sampaikan dgn qudwah hasanah
wubs wubs wubs!
aku ponnn whuaaaaaaaaaaaa
miss you much mawarrrrr~~~ wubs wubs wubs!
err…kalau nda menjadi satu keberatan, bleh kongsikan dengan lebih jelas mengenai cerita nda makai telekung atukah?
I’m with Rayyan! Blog post on solat without telekung. Nah~ have idea already for next entry~ Life eaaasssyyyy
[...] of my girls get disapproving comments for not wearing a telekong. Recorded stories can be found HERE. I’m genuinely surprised. Isn’t it sufficient to have everything covered – hair, [...]
Big salaam~
Interesting topic!
I once heard a ceramah related to this. The topic was on ‘”Proper tutup aurat” I think…
The Ustaz said if u wana know if u r covering ur aurat perfectly/correctly or not, see if u can go solat with that on (without a telkong). Thats a brilliant indicator I reckon! nda kah? From that, we can conclude as long as u cover urself up correctly according d syariah, that wont stop u from performing ur solat.
Even in the “Syarat-syarat Sah Solat” there’s no mention on “Telkong”. Only “Menutup aurat”. Maybe we got mixed up with those two words!
Ironically nowadays most telkongs r see-thru type when the purpose was to make sure everything is hidden underneath!
